AB Cotspin India announces capacity enhancement plan

AB Cotspin India has announced a major capacity enhancement plan with an investment of up to Rs 1,500 crore. The project will add approximately 200,000 spindles to its existing capacity of 50,832 spindles. To be completed within the next three years, the project will significantly boost the company's production scale.

The primary goal of this project is to meet the growing domestic and international demand for high-quality cotton yarn and sustainable textile solutions. Focusing on ‘green manufacturing, the project will involve adoption of renewable energy, such as solar power, and a strong emphasis on resource optimization and sustainable practices.

The new manufacturing facilities will be established across India in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. In FY25 ending in March 2025, AB Cotspin India reported a 17 per cent Y-o-Y increase in revenue, to Rs 300.91 crore, and a 52.27 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 10.21 crore. The company believes, this capacity enhancement will help further drive sales growth and profits.
