Surat-based metallic zari yarn manufacturer, Adlon Industries is expanding its product portfolio to include stitching and embroidery threads. The company has begun trail production on both products, which will be sold to corporate clients and exported. These new threads will be manufactured exclusively from recycled polyester staple fiber (PSF). Adlon will initially launch them in 750 colors and shades, with plans to gradually increase the range.

Adlon Industries has also developed the capability to produce a specific type of metallic zari yarn that was previously imported from Europe. This new product serves as an import substitute, and Adlon supplies it at a highly competitive price compared to the imported yarn.

The company began manufacturing metallic zari yarns in 2018 with just four TFO machines and a dyeing machine, supplying only the local Surat market. By 2021, the company had installed 12 more TFOs and continued to focus on local sales. Today, Adlon Industries has four production plants - three of which are at the same location - with a total built-up area of 75,000 sq ft and around 500 employees.

In 2021, Adlon Industries decided to expand beyond Surat to other parts of India and internationally. To achieve this, the company participated in several exhibitions across India and in other countries.  At the same time, it also established an R&D department to develop new metallic zari yarn qualities. It also hired a technically qualified team during this period. By 2022, Adlon Industires had 95 TFOs, and that number has now grown to 125. The company currently has a production capacity of 250 tons per month, with base yarns of polyester, nylon, and viscose.
