Ambercycle, Shenghong to boost circular yarns production for global market

Ambercycle, a leader in circular materials, has partnered with Shenghong Holding Group to accelerate the production of regenerated filament yarns using cycora material. This collaboration, which began in 2024, brings cycora to the Chinese value chain, addressing the growing global demand for sustainable, circular solutions in the apparel industry.

With cycora material, Ambercycle and Shenghong aim to revolutionize textile recycling. Currently, less than one percent of end-of-life textiles are recycled in closed-loop systems, but cycora offers a textile-to-textile solution that reduces the reliance on virgin inputs, fostering more sustainable supply chains. As the fashion industry increasingly adopts circular practices, cycora is positioned to meet the needs of global brands.

Jason Tang, General Manager of Shenghong Chemical Fiber New Material Co, Ltd, highlighted the importance of the partnership in driving scalable, impactful change across the apparel sector.

Ambercycle CEO Shay Sethi emphasized that the alliance leverages Shenghong's advanced manufacturing expertise to integrate cycora into global supply chains, promoting widespread adoption of circular materials.
