Arvind diversifies beyond cotton with advanced materials expansion

Arvind Limited is systematically de-risking its core manufacturing operations from raw cotton volatility by aggressively scaling its technical textiles footprint, even as Q4, FY26 revenues increased by 15 per cent to Rs 2,553.09 crore.
The textile major reported a steady consolidated net profit of Rs 159.71 crore for the quarter ending March 31, 2026. While core textile segments achieved volume growth, specifically a 19 per cent growth in denim fabric output to 17.4 million meter, the standout performer was the Advanced Materials Division, which registered an all-time high quarterly revenue of Rs 545.97 crore, marking a 21.1 per cent increase.
To increase this shift away from pure-play cotton apparel, Arvind finalized a $136 million acquisition of US-based Dalco-GFT, opening critical high-margin industrial textile pipelines in North America. Operating leverage and favorable product mixes are successfully stabilizing the company’s bottom line against localized yarn price spikes, stated Jayesh Shah, Corporate Financial Director.
Looking forward, the company has launched an intensive Rs 450 to Rs 500 crore capital expenditure program funded entirely through internal accruals. This capital allocation is specifically prioritized to expand value-added garmenting and specialized engineering synthetic fabrics, effectively insulating downstream margins from severe agricultural input constraints.
Operating as a premier vertically integrated textile conglomerate, Arvind Ltd dominates global denim production, woven fabrics, and advanced composite technical materials. The company mainly operates in categories spanning standard fashion brands, apparel exports, and specialized industrial textiles. The enterprise targets consistent double-digit revenue expansion backed by infrastructure investments and substantial international corporate acquisitions. Established in 1931, the company maintains its primary corporate headquarters in Ahmedabad.
