Average demand in Delhi and Ludhiana stabilizes cotton prices across North India
Cotton yarn prices across North India remained stable as both Delhi and Ludhiana experienced slow-to-average demand. Buyers demonstrated resistance to any price increases, even as raw cotton costs edged up. The overall market sentiment was constrained by ongoing payment issues and subdued activity in the garmenting sector. Meanwhile, the recycled yarn market in Panipat also stayed flat, characterized by cautious purchasing and an uncertain outlook for the near future. The slight upward movement in raw cotton prices was primarily attributed to strong procurement by the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI).
