Beste, an Italian textile manufacturer, has selected Rieter to equip its new Filum mill in Bergamo. This strategic move aligns with the Itaco project, aiming to establish a fully traceable, 100 per cent organic Italian cotton supply chain.

The new mill will have Rieter's G 38 ring spinning machines, complemented by Compact apron technology for yarn quality enhancement. The Essential digital mill management system will provide real-time insights into the entire production process.

To optimize efficiency, Beste will implement ROBOspin piecing robots and SERVOtrail roving bobbin transport systems. These automated solutions will minimize manual intervention and ensure consistent yarn quality.

Giovanni Santi, CEO of Beste, emphasized the importance of partnering with companies that share the company's commitment to quality and sustainability. Rieter's advanced machinery and digital solutions will enable Beste to produce premium yarns for luxury brands, supporting the Itaco project's goal of creating a high-quality, locally sourced supply chain.
