The conclusion of Bharat Tex 2026 in New Delhi, has strengthened India’s position as a primary global destination for integrated textile manufacturing. Hosted at Bharat Mandapam the four-day mega-event facilitated business enquiries of over $2.8 billion and secured investment commitments totaling Rs 14,300 crore. This capital influx is set to boost production capabilities across states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Bihar, aligning with the national ambition to scale textile exports to $100 billion by 2030.
A major development at the event was the signing of a Letter of Intent between the Bharat Tex Trade Federation and Première Vision Paris, aimed at boosting market access and design intelligence for Indian manufacturers within the European Union. Industry leaders emphasized, the event’s success stems from a shift toward sustainability, circular economy practices, and technical textiles. Notable investment highlights included a Rs 4,800 crore commitment from Dutch recycling firm RE&UP, signaling growing international confidence in India’s circular manufacturing ecosystem. By connecting over 11,000 global buyers with local MSMEs, the exhibition successfully transitioned traditional craftsmanship into scalable export models, effectively positioning India as a resilient alternative in the global supply chain.
A premier global textile exhibition, Bharat Tex showcases the entire value chain, from fiber and yarn to finished apparel, technical textiles, and machinery. It serves as a platform for international trade, policy dialogue, and investment promotion, with a core mission to support the ‘5F’ vision: Farm to Fiber to Factory to Fashion to Foreign. The event focuses on innovation, sustainability, and SME empowerment, aiming to establish India as a leading global textile powerhouse through enhanced export competitiveness and decentralized, state-led industrial growth.
