Daily cotton arrivals for June 10, total 17,800 bales: CAI

India’s cotton market recorded daily arrivals of 17,800 bales (170 kg each) on June 10, 2025, as per the Cotton Association of India (CAI). Arrivals translated to 3,026 metric tonnes. Gujarat led the tally with 7,100 bales, followed by Maharashtra at 6,500 bales and Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, each with 1,000 bales.

Among southern states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh reported 500 bales each. Tamil Nadu matched this figure, while Odisha posted a marginal arrival of 300 bales. The northern region contributed 700 bales.

Cumulative cotton arrivals for the 2024-25 season have now reached 2.77 crore bales or 47.17 lakh metric tonnes. Maharashtra continues to top the cumulative chart with 75.82 lakh bales, followed by Gujarat at 69.97 lakh bales and Telangana at 47.59 lakh bales. Other notable contributors include North India with 27.19 lakh bales and Karnataka with 21.30 lakh bales.

CAI’s data highlights the steady pace of arrivals in major cotton-producing states as the season progresses. The figures serve as a key indicator for ginners, mills, and traders to plan procurement and pricing strategies in the coming weeks.
