Focus on MMF products to boost business, urges Durai Palanisamy, Chairman, SIMA

The newly elected chairman of the Southern India Mills Association (SIMA), Durai Palanisamy, Executive Directive Pallava Textiles, has urged next generation of industry leaders to focus on man-made fibers (MMF). He believes, MMF is the ‘engine of growth’ for the industry, especially given the limited growth in cotton textiles. Palanisamy wants leaders to explore new global markets and create innovative products using these fibers to boost business.

Palanisamy has been elected as chairman, SIMA for the 2025-26 term. S Krishnakumar, Managing Director, Sulochana Cotton Spinning Mills in Tiruppur, will serve as the Deputy Chairman while K Sivaraj, Managing Director, Sivaraj Spinning Mills, has been elected as the Vice-Chairman of the association.
