Foundation laid for PM MITRA park in Amravati, Maharashtra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Amravati, Maharashtra. The 1000-acre park, developed by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), is part of the central government’s plan to establish seven textile parks across the country.

The ‘Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Centre’ scheme, aiming to provide free skill training to 1,50,000 youths annually in Maharashtra was also launche. The scheme targets youth aged 15 to 45, helping them become self-reliant. And the ‘Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup Scheme,’ offering financial support of up to Rs 25 lakh for women-led startups in Maharashtra was also introduced.
