Fulgar's Q-Cycle yarn gets recycled content certification
Italian synthetic fiber specialist Fulgar has received the ‘Recycled Claim Standard’ (RCS) certification for its Q-Cycle yarn. This certification by Textile Exchange verifies the use of recycled materials and traceability throughout production.
Q-Cycle is a polyamide 6.6 yarn made entirely from recycled materials, specifically pyrolysis oil from used tires. Despite being recycled, Q-Cycle offers the same performance as virgin polyamide in terms of lightness, strength, and workability.
Previously, Q-Cycle achieved ISCC Plus certification, guaranteeing global sustainability and traceability. The new RCS certification adds another layer of trust by verifying recycled content through a third-party environmental declaration.
Fulgar's marketing head, Alan Garosi, conveyed that the certification enables them to instill even more confidence in their 100 per cent recycled yarn within the market. It establishes Fulgar as a frontrunner in sustainable textiles, providing brands with the tools to develop eco-friendly clothing lines.
This achievement strengthens Fulgar's role in building a low-impact European textile supply chain.
