GHCL commences commercial production at new ‘Meenakshi’ section in Madurai

GHCL Textiles has initiated its next growth phase by commencing commercial production at its fully automated ‘Meenakshi’ section in Paravai, Madurai. This expansion boosts the company's spinning capacity by adding 25,536 ring spindles, bringing its total installed capacity to 224,976 ring spindles. The existing 199,440 ring spindles were already operating at nearly full utilization (99.0 per cent), highlighting the timely need for this augmentation. The company funded this approximately Rs 215 crore investment through internal accruals.
