Rising international demand for technical textiles, industrial geotextiles, and high-tenacity synthetic yarns is driving substantial capital expenditure across global synthetic fabric manufacturing hubs. As technical textile applications grow into construction, agriculture, and protective packaging, equipment builders are scaling capacity for high-speed multifilament yarn extrusion, tape extrusion, and wide-width circular looms.
Financial disclosures from primary market entry filings show, India's technical textile machinery sector generated strong operational gains in FY26, with segment revenue rising by 24.7 per cent to Rs 1,716.99 crore and net profit expanding to Rs 193.45 crore. Commercial textile producers are upgrading to high-speed machinery capable of processing recycled polymers and producing high-density polyethylene woven fabrics.
Modernizing yarn extrusion and weaving technology remains essential for mills targeting global compliance and high-spec industrial applications, notes Raj Kumar Lohia, Chairman, Lohia Corp. Although fluctuating polymer costs and international trade barriers pose near-term hurdles, integrated equipment manufacturers supplying over 90 export destinations are poised to capture sustained order volumes across North American and Asian industrial fabric sectors.
Established in 1981, Kanpur-headquartered Lohia Corp Limited manufactures end-to-end machinery for woven plastic fabrics, multifilament yarns, and technical textiles. Operating across 90 global markets, the company plans targeted technology upgrades and aftermarket service expansion, backed by Rs 1,717 crore in fiscal 2026 revenue and strong return metrics.
