In a strategic move to boost trade and diversify its export markets, India successfully organized the Best of India-Apparel and Textile Fair in Moscow.  Held from October 1-3, the fair was inaugurated by Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for Textiles and External Affairs and featured over 100 Indian exhibitors and producers.

The three-day fair included numerous Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings and attracted over 10,000 visitors. Organized by the Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC), the fair aimed to strengthen India’s textile exports to Russia and tap into new market opportunities across the broader Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region.

During his time in Moscow, Margherita also held discussions with representatives from Russian textile companies. He used these meetings to highlight the competitive advantages of the Indian textile sector.
