South Korean apparel manufacturer Hansae Co Ltd, is increasing its vertical integration strategy with the opening of a third textile facility in Vietnam. The new plant, operated by Color & Touch (C&T), will significantly increase dyeing capacity, enhancing Hansae's ability to produce garments faster and more sustainably.

C&T, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hansae, specializes in knitting and dyeing textiles using a variety of materials, including cotton, rayon, modal, and synthetics. By acquiring C&T in 2013, Hansae gained greater control over its supply chain, reducing reliance on external suppliers and improving product quality and delivery times.

The new Vietnamese facility is designed to be highly efficient and environmentally friendly, powered by biomass energy and equipped with water conservation systems. It will also utilize advanced dyeing technology to minimize environmental impact.

This expansion aligns with Hansae's broader strategy of nearshoring production to reduce lead times and mitigate supply chain risks. The company is also investing in Central America, with plans to open a new C&T facility in Guatemala in 2026 to support its Western Hemisphere operations.
