The 19th edition of HGH held from June 30 to July 3, 2026 highlighted a change in India’s domestic home textile market as it’s now moving beyond aesthetic trends and prioritizing high-performance fibers and circular manufacturing. With over 700 exhibitors converging at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, the event has moved from traditional manufacturing to the integration of recycled polymers and bio-based yarns.
Data presented at the event revealed, demand for sustainable home textiles in India will increase at a CAGR of 12 per cent through 2030, largely due to export mandates and a discerning domestic premium segment. Vrunda Manohar Desai, Textile Commissioner said, traceability is no longer optional with manufacturers adopting blockchain-verified supply chains securing 20 per cent higher margins in global markets.
Exhibitors showcased synthetic-natural fiber blends that offer higher durability and moisture-wicking properties, reflecting a broader movement toward functional living spaces. The collaboration with the Italian Pavilion further underscored this shift, as European technology providers introduced automated weaving solutions designed to reduce waste by up to 15 per cent. This focus on innovation effectively bridges the gap between artisanal craftsmanship and large-scale industrial efficiency, positioning Indian manufacturers as essential partners in the global premium textile value chain.
Organized by Texzone Information Services, HGH India is a specialized trade exhibition focusing on home textiles, décor, and housewares. It serves as a primary platform for industry manufacturers to connect with global trade buyers. The show aims to scale India’s textile footprint through biannual events and sustained regional growth.
