Hugo Boss Foundation partners GVK Society to boost regenerative cotton farming in India
The Hugo Boss Foundation has entered a partnership with India’s Grameena Vikas Kendram Society of Rural Development (GVK Society), to develop regenerative agricultural practices. This marks the foundation’s second long-term partnership.
Hugo Boss Foundation will donate €500,000 over three years to support a project transforming 5,250 hectares of land in the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh into regenerative cotton and food landscapes. This initiative aims to enhance the livelihoods of local farmers, increase biodiversity, and contribute to climate change mitigation.

Daniel Grieder, CEO of Hugo Boss, highlighted the importance of regenerative agriculture in reducing the fashion industry’s environmental footprint and supporting smallholder farmers. GVK Society's Aneel Kumar Ambavaram emphasized the project’s role in diversifying crops and creating international market connections while improving soil health and expanding their impact.
The initiative aligns with Hugo Boss' goal to source 100 per cent of natural materials from regenerative agriculture or closed-loop recycling by 2030.
