The 51st India International Knit Fair, held in Tiruppur, concluded successfully on Friday. The three-day event, focused on Spring/Summer 2025 collections, attracted significant interest from global buyers. Over 240 representatives from 180 companies, including buying houses and sourcing consultants, attended the fair. Leading exporters from various Indian cities showcased their latest knitwear designs. The event generated business worth Rs 240 crore and long-term business inquiries worth Rs 800 crore, said chairman of IIKF A Sakthivel. "This is the first time that we had invited domestic buyers. In response, Zudio – Trent Limited of Tata Enterprise had visited the fair.”

A key highlight was the emphasis on sustainability and circularity in the textile industry. Seminars on topics like sportswear, man-made fibers, and active wear were conducted to promote environmentally friendly practices. The exhibitors showcased products from across various categories including menswear, womenswear and kids wear. Also on display were materials from cellulosic, man-made and regenerated fibres like modal. Recycled cotton, recycled polyster and blends were also on display.
