India showcases textile prowess at IATF 2024

India is making a significant impact at the 18th International Apparel and Textile Fair (IATF) in Dubai. The country's delegation, led by the Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC) and the Wool & Woollens Export Promotion Council (WWEPC), is showcasing a diverse range of products, from traditional handlooms to innovative sustainable fabrics.
The event marks the 10th anniversary of IATF, a key platform for the UAE's fashion industry. India's participation highlights its position as a global textile leader, contributing 2 per cent to the nation's GDP and employing over 45 million people. The country's textile industry, valued at $176 billion, is poised to reach $350 billion by 2030. India's significant share in global textile and apparel trade, coupled with its vast production capabilities, makes it a crucial player in the international market.
The IATF features over 450 international participants, showcasing their latest collections for the upcoming seasons. The event will conclude today that is November 14th, offering a valuable opportunity for Indian exporters to connect with buyers and explore new business avenues.
