ITME Society to host ‘Textile Horizons 2026’ to address value chain modernization amid compliance era

The India ITME Society will host ‘Textile Horizons 2026,’ a high-level international conference on December 5 and 6 at the India Exposition Mart in Greater Noida. To run concurrently with the flagship India ITME 2026 exhibition, this summit marks an effort to align India’s textile manufacturing with the rigid environmental and digital mandates taking effect this year. The event will take place in the background of the EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulation (ESPR) and India’s recently implemented Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS), which now encompasses over 170 textile units.

Experts expect the conference to move beyond theoretical sustainability, focusing on the practical integration of AI-driven automation and resource-efficient processing. The objective is to bridge the gap between machinery acquisition and operational optimization, says Seema Srivastava, Executive Director, India ITME Society. The sectoral impact is significant, as the government’s Rs 44,450 crore PM MITRA scheme begins to operationalize integrated parks designed for zero liquid discharge and renewable energy usage. By facilitating fiber producers, technology providers, and global brands, the summit aims to strengthen the domestic supply chain against fluctuating input costs while securing India's role as a primary sourcing hub in the $1.5 trillion global apparel market.
