Karl Mayer redefines global textile machinery showcase for 20th century legacy
...Global textile machinery pioneer Karl Mayer has announced a shift in its trade exhibition roadmap, opting to host an immersive, dedicated event series at its Obertshausen headquarters in Germany this September 2027 rather than participating in the traditional ITMA Hanover trade show.
Marking its milestone 90th anniversary, the company aims to deliver an exclusive technical exhibition across its 5,000-sq-m Textile Innovation Center (TIC) and Product Innovation Center (PIC).Stakeholders from fiber processing, yarn engineering, and fabric manufacturing will evaluate next-generation machine generations in live operation, targeting heightened production efficiency and circular economy compliance.
The company’s anniversary activities are about much more than individual machines, focusing instead on true technical breakthroughs across warp knitting, technical textiles, and warp preparation, states Lutz Wolf, CEO.Concurrently, the group is expanding its regional footprint by committing to a dual-booth presence at ITMA Asia 2026 in Shanghai alongside a localized product showcase in Changzhou, matching rising automation demands across Asian textile manufacturing hubs.
