Meera Industries bags major Indospun LLP contract for of filament twister

Meera Industries has bagged a contract worth Rs 2.03 crore from Indospun LLP for the delivery of a high-performance filament twister equipped with a tangential belt spindle drive. This heavy-duty system is engineered specifically for the production of twisted polypropylene (PP) yarns, a critical component in high-tenacity industrial sewing threads. These specialized fibers are essential for the manufacturing of FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers), as well as heavy-duty cement and fertilizer packaging, where tensile integrity and twist consistency are paramount.
The Indian polyester filament yarn market is currently witnessing steady growth, projected to reach 3,063 thousand metric tons by 2030. This is largely due to growing demand for technical textiles and durable apparel. While Meera Industries faced a challenging Q3, FY25 with net sales falling to Rs 8.80 crore, the new order shows its resilience and focus on high-value engineering niches. By integrating advanced spindle technology that ensures repeatable yarn quality, the company is positioning itself to capitalize on the intensifying domestic requirement for sophisticated industrial thread solutions. The order is likely to be executed in Q1, FY26, marking a concerted effort to leverage the 3.24 per cent CAGR seen across the broader filament segment.
Meera Industries specializes in manufacturing advanced twisting and heat-setting machinery for industrial yarns and threads, serving global markets in technical textiles and apparel. The company focuses on high-speed spindle systems to enhance process stability. Historically recognized for its R&D, Meera aims to regain financial momentum through precision-engineered machinery.
