Orange O Tec advances sustainable textile finishing in partnership with Found

Surat-based textile machinery leader Orange O Tec has increased its portfolio by entering into a strategic partnership with Found, an international manufacturer specializing in high-performance open-width washing and finishing technologies. This collaboration is designed to address the pressing demand for resource efficiency within the Indian textile sector, which currently grapples with rising energy costs and stringent environmental compliance mandates. By introducing Found’s flagship Open Width and MG Deoiling washing systems to the domestic market, Orange O Tec aims to give manufacturers a critical edge in both productivity and sustainability.

The technological integration offers operational advantages: the Open Width Washing Machine reduces water consumption by up to 47 per cent compared to conventional processes, while the MG Deoiling system optimizes steam usage by as much as 60 per cent for polyester and spandex processing. Such efficiency gains are becoming indispensable as Indian manufacturers strive to meet the environmental and social governance standards demanded by international apparel brands. Experts note, as dyeing and finishing account for approximately 43 per cent of total energy expenditure in textile production, these localized technology upgrades serve as a vital lever for improving unit-level profits and securing long-term export competitiveness in a tightening global market.
