PHDCCI to host National Technical Textiles Conference in Ludhiana

PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) will host a one-day National Technical Textiles Conference on July 25, 2025 in Ludhiana. To be organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, under the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), this event aims to solidify Ludhiana's role as a strategic hub for the sector.

The conference will convene policymakers, industry leaders, manufacturers, innovators, and experts to delve into the evolving landscape of technical textiles in India. Themed ‘Market Growth, Challenges, Opportunities & Way Forward,’ the inaugural session will feature Sanjeev Arora, Minister of Industry, Commerce, Investment Promotion and NRI Affairs, Government of Punjab, as the Chief Guest.

Following the opening, three technical sessions will cover crucial topics such as: ‘Innovations, Possibilities & Application Avenues in Technical Textiles,’ ‘Sustainability & Compliance in Technical Textiles,’ and ‘Skilling, Compliance Training & Workforce Development for a Sustainable Technical Textile Ecosystem.’

Prominent dignitaries and speakers from various organizations, including the Ministry of Textiles, NTTM, Ministry of MSME, SIDBI, NITRA, BIS, and Oerlikon Textile, are expected to attend the event. The conference seeks to establish Ludhiana as a Centre of Excellence for Technical Textiles, aligning with the government's vision to enhance India's global leadership in this high-growth segment. It will hold discussions on topics including BIS standards, sustainability frameworks, skill development, and collaborative opportunities across the value chain.

The event aims to foster dialogue, share knowledge, and build partnerships, ultimately catalyzing innovation, improving compliance and skilling, and paving the way for a resilient, sustainable, and globally competitive technical textiles ecosystem in India.
