RSWM secures outlook upgrade amidst operational turnaround
A milestone moment for the LNJ Bhilwara Group as India Ratings & Research has revised the credit outlook for RSWM to ‘stable,’ as the company deals with a challenging global textile sector. Reaffirming the company’s ‘IND A’ long-term issuer rating, this upgrade validates the efficacy of the RSWM 2.0 transformation initiative. After two years of navigating volatile raw material costs and industry-wide demand softening, the company has successfully optimized its balance sheet and refined its operational discipline.
This shift is tied to their comprehensive modernization drive. RSWM is moving its production infrastructure toward high-value, sustainable outputs, including a new bottle-to-bottle recycling facility in Madhya Pradesh that boosts its green polyester fibre portfolio. By integrating AI-driven demand forecasting and pivoting toward renewable energy—with a target of 100 per cent biofuel usage by 2026-end - the company is effectively insulating itself from traditional manufacturing headwinds.
Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman and CEO, emphasizes, this stability reflects a fundamental strengthening of the business model. As the Indian textile sector targets a significant expansion in exports under national growth mandates, RSWM’s focus on circularity and technical textile innovation positions it to capture rising global demand for traceable, eco-friendly yarn and fabric solutions.
RSWM is a major integrated textile manufacturer specializing in synthetic, mélange, and cotton-blended yarns, denim, and knitted fabrics. Operating globally, the company emphasizes sustainable manufacturing. Its growth strategy centers on operational efficiency, digital transformation, and capacity expansion, underpinned by a robust financial framework aimed at long-term stakeholder value.
