RSWM targets full decarbonization with 100% biofuel transition by 2026-end

LNJ Bhilwara Group’S flagship company RSWM has entered the final phase of its ‘RSWM 2.0’ transformation, confirming it is on track to replace all coal consumption with carbon-neutral biofuels across its manufacturing facilities by December 2026. This transition involves converting its six primary industrial boilers to run entirely on biomass such as dry husks, a move expected to significantly lower its scope 1 emissions.

The strategy is boosted by a recent 60 MW renewable energy pact with Adani Energy Solutions, which will escalate the company’s total green energy mix to 70 per cent, far exceeding the national industrial average of 31 per cent. Despite current macroeconomic headwinds, including an 8.2 per cent Y-o-Y revenue decline to Rs 1,104.74 crore in Q3 FY26, the company reported a 125.8 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 2.38 crore, signaling that operational efficiencies from green initiatives are beginning to stabilize the bottom line.

The shift to 100 per cent biofuel is a structural move towards high-margin, ESG-compliant exports, stated a company spokesperson. RSWM’s integrated model, which already recycles 6.5 million PET bottles daily into fiber green polyester, positions it to capture a premium in European markets where the Digital Product Passport (DPP) now mandates rigorous sustainability data.
