Sanathan Textiles expands operations post IPO

Former Kannada actor Sammir Dattani, has joined Sanathan Textiles, a Mumbai-based yarn manufacturer that made a successful stock market debut in December. The firm raised Rs 400 crore through an IPO to reduce debt and expand operations. Dattani’s focus is on raw material procurement for the polyester filament yarn division, while he also manages marketing and branding efforts.
Sanathan Textiles, which exports to 29 countries, operates a manufacturing unit in Silvassa with a capacity of 2,23,000 MTPA. The company is expanding, and setting up a new facility in Mohali, Punjab, expected to begin production in the April-June quarter. This plant will serve the North Indian market with an initial capacity of 2,55,000 MTPA, expanding further in phase two. Dattani also oversees sales operations in South India, catering to key customers in the region.
