SIDBI pushes green tech for Warangal power looms cluster.

A workshop was held to boost the competitiveness and sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Warangal power loom cluster. Organized by SIDBI as a part of its Cluster Intervention Program, the event addressed the sector’s challenges through green technology adoption.

SIDBI's Smriti Bajpai emphasized the need for collaboration to strengthen the MSME ecosystem in Warangal. The focus was on improving capacity, energy efficiency, and access to credit, while promoting knowledge sharing and technology adoption.

Grant Thornton Bharat LLP detailed a roadmap for the cluster, including raw material banking, design development, skill training, and lean practices. Local leaders, including weavers' association representatives, expressed concerns over power subsidies and other support.

Warangal MP and MLA assured weavers that their demands will be taken up with the Chief Minister. The workshop was a joint initiative of SIDBI, Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, and the Kakatiya Textile Weavers Association.
