Surat textile industry takes center stage at Garfab-TX & Texma 2024

The Garfab-TX & Texma exhibition, a showcase of the latest advancements in apparel manufacturing technology, in Surat was held from September 13 to 15. Inaugurated by Jitu Bhai Vakharia, President of the South Gujarat Textile Processors Association (SGTPA), the event underscores the city's continued leadership in India's textile industry.

Known globally for its production of polyester yarn, weaving, processing, and intricate embroidery, Surat has witnessed a 10 per cent growth in textile production in recent years. This growth is attributed to the city's ability to adapt to evolving market trends and its adoption of innovative technologies.

The Garfab-TX & Texma exhibition offered a unique platform for industry professionals to explore the latest technological solutions. Organized by BP Mishra of Vardan Events, the event solidified Surat's position as a vibrant hub of both traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation. On display were a a wide range of cutting-edge technologies and products that are shaping the future of the textile industry.
