TAI elects RK Vij as National President for 2025-27 term

The Textile Association India (TAI) has unanimously elected RK Vij as National President for the 2025-27 term, reaffirming the industry's confidence in one of the most experienced voices in Indian man-made fibers and textiles. The election was held at the recent Governing Council meeting in Coimbatore.

With over 46 years of leadership experience across textiles, fibers, and polyester manufacturing, Vij works as an Advisor for polyester at one of the nation's largest polyester producers, Indorama Synthetics India. He previously served as National President of The Textile Association India from 2021 to 2023 and later as President Emeritus from 2023 to 2025.

An MBA from Delhi University and a textile technologist from TITS Bhiwani, Vij has played a central role in shaping policy discussions regarding man-made fibers. He represents The Textile Association India in multiple forums with the Ministry of Textiles and other government agencies. He also holds positions as Secretary General of the Polyester Textiles and Apparel Association and Vice Chairman, -Textile Committee, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
