Indian textile and apparel exporters are actively upgrading their technological capabilities to counter intensifying global competition and shrinking operational margins. Addressing the critical need for digital modernization across the supply chain, the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (Texprocil) recently concluded its inaugural master class on Generative Artificial Intelligence in partnership with the Institute for Integrated Learning in Management.

The intensive program equipped manufacturers spanning fiber, yarn, and fabric sectors with advanced tools to optimize business intelligence, automated marketing, and international trade operations. Stakeholders said, integrating artificial intelligence into legacy manufacturing workflows is no longer optional for maintaining global competitiveness. ‘Artificial intelligence must be harnessed as a practical business enabler to refine decision-making and boost export efficiencies,’ opiens Dr Siddhartha Rajagopal, Executive Director. Texprocil.

Building on the positive reception in major commercial hubs, the council intends to expand these educational workshops to other prominent manufacturing clusters across the country. Established in 1954, the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council functions as India's premier export promotion body for cotton fibre, yarn, and fabrics. Operating across global markets, it champions policy advocacy, skill development, and financial stability, supported by decades of heritage in driving the nation's textile commerce.
