Trident Group has solidified its long-term growth by anchoring its operational strategy in advanced research and development, a commitment that was highlighted at the recent Bharat Tex 2026. The conglomerate formally inaugurated a dedicated Innovation Cell, with over Rs 100 crore investment aimed at increasing environmental performance and product differentiation. This initiative rides on a portfolio of 17 patents and 147 trademarks to pioneer next-generation fiber blends, functional finishes, and high-performance yarns specifically engineered for premium and niche global markets.
This innovation-led approach serves as a cornerstone for the company as it faces a challenging global trade environment. By focusing on high-value textiles, Trident aims to optimize its manufacturing asset utilization and accelerate digitalization across its production lines. Dr Rajinder Gupta, Chairman Emeritus emphasizes, the future of the textile sector is defined by the convergence of purposeful design, craftsmanship, and technological capability. Beyond upstream innovation, the company is also scaling its retail footprint, with plans to expand its domestic touchpoints from 7,000 to 10,000. This dual-pronged strategy of strengthening high-performance product development and expanding direct-to-consumer retail presence is designed to build resilience and capture greater market share in the premium home furnishings segment.
