A wholly owned subsidiary of Voltas Ltd, Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services (UMPESL) has signed an agency agreement with Danitech Group to deploy cutting-edge dyeing, finishing, and automation solutions across India. This partnership designates UMPESL as the exclusive distributor for Danitech’s Italian and Chinese technology portfolios, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional manufacturing and the demands of high-performance garmenting.

As the domestic industry faces mounting pressure to increase export competitiveness, the adoption of advanced processing systems has become a commercial imperative. Studies indicate, manufacturers integrating automated, energy-efficient finishing solutions can realize 15 per cent reduction in operational waste and significantly lower energy consumption, a vital transition for mills aiming to meet global ESG compliance. As per UMPESL, this collaboration is designed to scale India's manufacturing efficiency by integrating future-ready technology with the company’s localized engineering support.

The alliance leverages UMPESL’s extensive project management footprint, ensuring that complex automation is accessible to manufacturers across India. By combining European engineering standards with domestic service networks, the partnership offers a scalable blueprint for mills to upgrade facilities, ultimately boosting their position within the $350 billion global textile value chain.
