Chandigarh-based Usha Yarns announced a growth equity investment from the Fullerton Carbon Action Fund. According to Anurag Gupta, Managing Director, Usha Yarns, the capital will be used to expand the company’s production capacity and deepen the traceability of feedstock sourcing.  This partnership will boost Usha Yarns’ capacity to convert textile waste into high-quality, pre-dyed recycled fibers at a larger industrial scale. By utilizing post-industrial cotton and recycled PET, the company effectively bypasses water-intensive dyeing processes, offering a competitive advantage to global apparel brands seeking to lower their Scope 3 emissions.

With an annual processing capacity of over 18,000 metric tons, this capital investment enables Usha Yarns to broaden its product range and meet the growing demand for reliable, verified recycled yarns, ensuring that circularity remains a viable, high-performance standard in modern textile manufacturing.

Established in 1996, Usha Yarns specializes in mechanically recycled cotton and polyester-blend yarns. Operating from its Chandigarh facilities, the company converts industrial waste into pre-dyed yarns for knitting and weaving. It serves global apparel brands with a focus on supply chain transparency, scalability, and circularity.
