Vardhman Textiles is aggressively moving from a traditional spinning powerhouse into a diversified high-value technical textile major to insulate margins from erratic raw material costs. While FY26 consolidated profits adjusted to Rs 753.20 crore, a drop from the previous year’s Rs 886.72 crore, the group is doubling down on finished products. This move leverages the newly operational India-EU Free Trade Agreement, which offers zero-duty access to a $202 billion market, positioning Vardhman to compete directly with duty-free hubs like Bangladesh.

Operational efficiency remains the primary objective. Despite a 22 per cent Y-o-Y decline in quarterly PAT, the company successfully increased its EBITDA margins to 11.8 per cent through better cost management and high-margin product shifts. The company continues to focus on deep-tier integration, moving beyond yarn into specialized processing and technical applications, noted a senior executive during the results briefing. With a Rs 1,732.45 crore capital expenditure boosting new processing lines in Budhni and technical units in Baddi, Vardhman is reworking its asset base to capture the 20 per cent projected annual growth in Indian apparel exports.

Vardhman Textiles is a leading Indian conglomerate specializing in cotton yarn, processed fabrics, and premium garments. Dominating the domestic spinning sector, it serves elite global retailers across Europe and Asia. The group is currently executing a multi-billion rupee modernization plan to boost its technical textile and high-end apparel divisions.
