Welspun Living India slips 6.6% as Q4 profit drops 9.7% despite record annual revenue

Shares of Welspun Living fell 6.60 per cent to Rs 137.95 after the company reported a 9.71 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 131.82 crore in Q4 FY25, down from Rs 146 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue rose 2.74 per cent YoY to Rs 2,645.90 crore. However, EBITDA dropped to Rs 318 crore from Rs 400 crore, with margins narrowing to 12 per cent from 15.3 per cent.
Home textile revenue grew 1.27 per cent to Rs 2,452.56 crore, while flooring revenue declined 8.05 per cent to Rs 195.76 crore. Net debt stood at Rs 1,603 crore in March 2024, up Rs 248 crore YoY but down from December levels.
For the full year, net profit fell 6.15 per cent to Rs 639.16 crore, while revenue rose 8.94 per cent to Rs 10,545.09 crore. FY25 capex stood at Rs 701 crore, including Rs 106 crore in Q4, mainly for its Anjar towel project.
Chairman B K Goenka said FY25 marked a milestone, crossing Rs 10,000 crore in revenue, with 10.8 per cent growth in home textile exports and a 5.1 per cent rise in domestic consumer business. The board recommended a dividend of Rs 1.70 per share, with record date set for 27 June 2025.
