ZDHC launches recycled polyester guidelines to drive sustainable practices in textile Industry

ZDHC, a leading sustainability initiative in the fashion industry, has released guidelines for recycled polyester production. These guidelines aim to promote transparency, safety, and environmental responsibility throughout the entire recycling process.
ZDHC's guidelines cover key areas like ensuring responsible sourcing and handling of materials (Input Management), implementing best practices for chemical recovery, storage, and handling to protect workers and the environment (Process Management), and minimizing environmental impact by managing wastewater, sludge, and air pollutants generated during the recycling process (Output Management).
ZDHC has also released an implementation approach that provides a clear roadmap for businesses to follow. This move signifies a significant step towards a more sustainable future for the fashion industry.
