Afghanistan's cotton export to Pakistan and China hits 15,000 tons

The Northern Cotton Traders Union of Afghanistan has successfully exported 15,000 tons of cotton, primarily from Balkh province, to Pakistan and China. Union head Haji Din Mohammad Ahmadzai emphasized the importance of using fabric sacks during cotton collection to preserve quality, urging farmers in Balkh to adopt this practice.
Mullah Agha Jan Akhund, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, highlighted Afghanistan's ongoing agricultural mechanization efforts. He reassured farmers of the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to supporting their agricultural activities.
This achievement underscores Afghanistan's growing potential as a significant cotton supplier to global markets, reflecting progress in the country's agricultural sector.
