Ambika Cotton Mills posts solid Q1 results

Ambika Cotton Mills reported a strong Q1 results, with net profit climbing 3.76 per cent year-on-year to Rs 21.53 crore. Despite a 5.79 per cent decline in revenue, the company managed to improve its operating income by a substantial 53.1 per cent year-on-year, driven by effective cost control measures.
Earnings per share (EPS) rose 3.78 per cent to Rs 37.61, reflecting increased profitability. While the stock experienced a short-term dip of 3.76 per cent in the past week, its performance over the last six months and year-to-date stands at a commendable 15.03 per cent and 13.92 per cent, respectively.
The company's focus on operational efficiency is evident in the 4.26 per cent year-on-year reduction in selling, general, and administrative expenses. This strategic approach has contributed significantly to the overall improvement in profitability.
