Americhem opens R&D center in Silvassa to boost textile innovation

Americhem, has launched a new R&D center in Silvassa, India, to enhance service speed and localization for customers across India and Southeast Asia. Located at Olive Industrial Park, the 4,000-sq. ft. facility specializes in masterbatch color development for melt spinning and textile manufacturing.

The new lab strengthens Americhem’s market expansion by offering rapid custom color matching, faster response times, and advanced testing services. Customers can now get same-day color matching, accelerating their speed to market. S Mani, Managing Director for India and Southeast Asia, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and regional growth, while Operations Director Toshan Simaiya highlighted the lab’s role in providing agile support and real-time communication.

Led by Sandeep Bhamare, Head of R&D - Fibers, the center will work closely with Americhem’s Pune site. Krunal Bodne, Head of Sales and Marketing Textiles/Fibers, welcomed customers to experience on-the-spot color development. Strategically located just 5 km from Bhilad Highway NH-48, with future access to the Mumbai-Delhi Expressway, the facility began operations in late 2024.
