The North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation (NEHHDC) launched a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Guwahati, Assam, in collaboration with the Apparel Made-Ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC). This initiative is a major step forward for the region's apparel sector, aiming to address skill gaps, enhance product development, and create economic opportunities.
The inauguration included dignitaries like Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, who emphasized the government's commitment to skilling and entrepreneurship. A Sakthivel, Chairman of AMHSSC, pledged the Council's support to elevate Assam's apparel industry and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.
