Bangladesh’s Envoy Textiles to double blended yarn capacity

Envoy Textiles is set to invest Tk97 crore in a new spinning unit to boost its annual production capacity by 4,550 tonnes. The expansion, aimed at meeting rising demand for cotton-polyester-spandex core-spun yarn, is expected to be completed by December 2025.

The new unit will feature state-of-the-art ring spinning machinery from European and Japanese manufacturers. Approximately 60 per cent of the yarn produced will be used in-house for denim production, while the remaining 40 per cent will be exported.

The company anticipates a payback period of 4.53 years for the expansion project. The investment will be financed through a combination of retained earnings and bank loans.

Envoy Textiles recently reported 134 per cent year-on-year increase in profit for the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The company also achieved a 40 per cent increase in revenue during the same period.
