C&A has entered a three-year partnership with Haelixa to improve the traceability of organic cotton. Haelixa's DNA-based technology allows C&A to track the journey of its organic cotton from the farm to the finished garment.

By incorporating Haelixa's DNA markers, C&A aims to increase transparency and ethical sourcing within its supply chain. The unique DNA markers act as identifiers for organic cotton sourced through CottonConnect, enabling verifiable tracking throughout the supply chain.

This collaboration allows C&A to ensure the authenticity of its organic cotton and minimize the risk of sourcing from regions associated with forced labor. The DNA-based approach provides reliable evidence of the presence of organic cotton in C&A's products, bolstering consumer trust in the brand's sustainability initiatives.

Haelixa CEO Patrick Strumpf emphasized the importance of trust in transparent storytelling, stating that the technology empowers brands like C&A to tell authentic stories about their sustainability efforts.
