Cellulose Fibres Conference 2025 to showcase six innovations for a sustainable future

Cologne is ready to host the Cellulose Fibres Conference 2025 that will see over 220 attendees on March 12 and 13. Organized by nova-Institute and sponsored by GIG Karasek, the event will highlight innovations that drive sustainability in the cellulose fibres industry.
Six nominees have been selected for the prestigious innovation award, showcasing remarkable advancements in ecological impact, creativity, and technological progress. Among them, Fibers365’s ‘Hemp365’ offers a 100 per cent natural, vegan material for fashion and industrial applications, while Releaf Paper France transforms urban fallen leaves into eco-friendly packaging materials.
SA-Dynamics’ cellulose aerogel textiles redefine insulation with biodegradable, microplastic-free properties, and Sci-Lume Labs’ Bylon creates circular biosynthetic fibres from agricultural waste. TMG Automotive’s Refiber presents a sustainable composite for car interiors made from cellulose waste, and Uluu introduces seaweed-derived biodegradable textiles to replace synthetic plastics.
Attendees can vote live for the top three winners during the nominees presentations on March 12. These innovative solutions underscore the industry’s commitment to circularity and environmental responsibility, setting a benchmark for future advancements.
