China's cotton textile industry booms after spring break
China's cotton textile industry is thriving after the spring holidays, with the Prosperity Index jumping to 52.9 per cent in March. This strong showing, up 6.5 points from February, signifies a return to good health for the sector (index above 50 indicates positive performance).
Factories resumed work smoothly and business operations normalized, driving the positive trend. Four key sub-indexes - raw material procurement, production, product sales, and operations - all exceeded the critical point.
While raw material, product inventories, and corporate confidence remain below 50, they've all improved compared to February.
This positive momentum suggests a robust cotton textile industry in China.
