Daily cotton arrivals for March 18, total 81,200 bales: CAI

India’s cotton arrivals on 18 March 2025 stood at 81,200 bales (170 kg each), according to the Cotton Association of India (CAI). The cumulative arrivals for the 2024-25 season have reached 23.7 million bales.
Maharashtra led arrivals with 35,200 bales, followed by Gujarat at 26,300 bales. Telangana recorded 3,600 bales, while Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka saw 3,700 and 3,100 bales, respectively. Other key producing states such as Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha reported lower arrivals.
Gujarat remains the highest contributor to cumulative arrivals at 5.19 million bales, followed by Maharashtra at 6.25 million bales. Telangana has so far received 4.7 million bales this season. The total cotton arrivals in metric tons reached 13,804 tons for the day, taking the season’s cumulative total to 4.02 million tons.
The pace of arrivals reflects stable cotton production in key states despite market fluctuations. Analysts anticipate steady inflows in the coming weeks, influenced by domestic and global demand.
