Daily cotton arrivals for March 29, total 52,000 bales: CAI
India's cotton arrivals reached 52,000 bales on March 29, 2025, as per Cotton Association of India (CAI) estimates. The largest arrivals were from Maharashtra at 23,800 bales, followed by Gujarat with 18,600 bales and the northern region with 4,400 bales. Other notable contributors are: Madhya Pradesh (2,200 bales), Karnataka (900 bales), and Telangana (1,200 bales).
In metric tons, the total daily cotton arrival stood at 8,840. Cumulative arrivals for the ongoing 2024-25 cotton season have now touched 2,44,25,400 bales or approximately 41.52 million metric tons. Maharashtra leads with cumulative arrivals of 65.67 lakh bales, followed by Gujarat at 54.36 lakh bales and Telangana at 47.31 lakh bales.
States like Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have also shown steady progress with arrivals of 9.28 lakh and 19.84 lakh bales respectively so far this season. Tamil Nadu and Odisha contributed smaller volumes to the national total, while the ‘Others’ category added 1.3 lakh bales cumulatively. The data highlights consistent supply across major cotton-producing states, supporting India’s robust cotton economy during the current season.
