Damodar Industries’ Q4 and full year profits moves north

Damodar Industries reported a significant increase in profitability for both the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2024. While sales dipped slightly year-on-year in Q4, net income grew dramatically, jumping from Rs 4.69 million to Rs 30.53 million. This translates to a basic earnings per share (EPS) increase from Rs 0.20 to Rs 1.31.

For the full year, the company followed a similar trend. Sales grew modestly, reaching Rs 7.15 billion compared to Rs 6.83 billion the previous year. However, net income saw a substantial leap, rising from Rs 7.97 million to Rs 52.2 million. This resulted in a significant increase in basic EPS from Rs 0.34 to Rs 2.24.
