Denim goes green as Archroma, G-Star Raw, and Advance Denim team up.

Several leaders in the denim industry are joining forces to make denim production more eco-friendly. Archroma, a company that develops sustainable solutions for textiles, is teaming up with G-Star Raw, a popular denim brand, and Advance Denim, a manufacturer focused on sustainable denim.

Their goal is to create high-quality denim in classic blue shades, but without the harmful aniline impurity that comes from traditional indigo dye. This aniline can pollute waterways and harm aquatic life.

Archroma's solution is Denisol Pure Indigo 30, a special indigo dye that eliminates aniline throughout the production process. This dye also uses less water and fewer chemicals, making denim production more sustainable overall.

"By removing aniline from the dye, we eliminate the risk of pollution from wastewater," says Umberto De Vita of Archroma. "This also allows for easier recycling of denim in the future."

G-Star Raw is committed to using sustainable materials and practices. They aim to have 20 per cent of their clothing made from Cradle to Cradle Certified fabrics by 2025. Denisol Pure Indigo 30 meets this standard, making it a perfect fit for their goals.

"We are constantly pushing boundaries to make the denim industry more sustainable," opines Rebecka Sancho of G-Star Raw. "Denisol Pure Indigo 30 lets us create classic denim colors without harming the environment."

Advance Denim is another company on board with sustainable denim production. They were the first denim factory in China to use aniline-free indigo dye, and their new plant in Vietnam is entirely aniline-free.

"We are proud to work with Archroma and G-Star RAW to make cleaner denim," said Amy Wang of Advance Denim. "This reflects our commitment to both fashion and sustainability."

This collaboration between these three industry leaders paves the way for cleaner denim production methods that are better for the planet.
