Gimatex and Trutzschler transform textile waste into high-value yarn.
Gimatex Industries, a leading player in the Indian textile sector, has taken its long-standing partnership with German textile machinery manufacturer Trutzschler to new heights. Since the relationship began in 2006, the two companies have collaborated on numerous innovative projects, with the latest focusing on transforming textile waste into high-quality yarn using Trutzschler's cutting-edge Integrated Draw Frame (IDF) technology.
Gimatex operates highly efficient, fully integrated facilities in Hinganghat and a modern fabric processing unit in Dholka. With a reputation for quality and sustainability, Gimatex’s continued success has been strongly supported by its partnership with Trutzschler. The latest breakthrough involves applying IDF technology to produce ring yarn, especially from recycled materials, a departure from its traditional use in rotor and vortex spinning. This allows Gimatex to produce a range of yarns, including coarser types like Ne 10s and Ne 16s, blended with spandex.

Vineet Mohota, Director at Gimatex, praised the advantages of the technology, noting how it streamlines production by reducing the number of draw frame passages required. This directly translates into lower costs, greater efficiency, and energy savings, all without sacrificing quality.
As Gimatex and Trutzschler continue to innovate and expand their capabilities, the collaboration remains a cornerstone of their shared vision for the future of textile production in India. Their forward-thinking approach sets the stage for even greater achievements in sustainable, high-quality yarn production.
